2014 - 2015
During the final year of my undergraduate course I simultaneously worked in a practice, which specialized on urban design. There I worked on a design of a residential area in the suburbs of St Petersburg.
I was involved in this project at early stage. I collected information about the permitted use of the site, its restrictions, aspects and parameters which can affect the design. I also participated in the design process in the office.
Apart from data and design work, I took part in project public discussions. This stage is very important in receiving the planning permission in Russia.
During the practice placement I worked with main planning and building regulations statutory documents. I also prepared project documentation and drawings relating to building standards. Moreover, I had a chance to test and develop my design skills.
